Barbaric ISIS issue sickening fatwa to mutilate genitals of NEWBORN baby girls

The terror group ordered that if mothers objected to the female genital mutilation (FGM) for their children they faced being beaten, fined and the operation carried out without consent.

According to the ruling by cruel Daesh, part of the child's clitoris should be surgically removed immediately after birth.

High-ranking Kurdish politician Ghayas Sorchi, from the Kurdistan Patriotic Union (PUK), revealed the sickening fatwa.

Female Genital Mutilation Still Rampant In Kwara Rural Areas — Physicians

Prof. Oladiji Temidayo, Director, Centre for Research and In-house Training of the University of Ilorin, has said that Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is still a major challenge faced by rural women.

Temidayo made the disclosure on Wednesday at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) during an assessment of Field Posting Reports for Masters in Public Health students of the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health.

Kilimo asks politicians to join fight against FGM

The Anti-Female Genital Mutilation Board chairperson Linah Jebii Kilimo has urged politicians to join the war against FGM.

Addressing the media in Eldoret town on Sunday after meeting a group of women, Kilimo accused politicians of being silent on the cultural practice which she said continues to be practiced in many areas.

The chairperson said the war on FGM and other traditional cultural practices will be won if politicians and elected leaders support the fight.

Parents in Bosamaro lauded for protecting girls against FGM

Parents in Bosamaro ward have been commended for protecting girls against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and early marriages during the festive season.

Addressing residents at Gesiaga secondary on Tuesday, Bosamaro Ward representative Mr Boniface Ombori said he is happy that there were no FGM cases reported in the area during the 2015 festive season.

Mother arrested for making daughters undergo FGM

Police in Mutino, Meru County have arrested one woman, Mary Gakundi, who has been accused of making three minors undergo female genital mutilation (FGM).

Gakuyi is accused of making her three daughters, all aged between 15 to 17, take the cut.

Sources further informed the police that the tree minors were recuperating at the family home.

Acting on the tip off, police raided the home arresting the mother and detaining the three girls for questioning.
